[Keisuke's not really feeling up for too much talking, given his situation, but he feels the need to take care of some basic business between his Rocket training seminars, etc.]

I've already figured out that this isn't a dream. Though it may not seem normal, the universe itself makes too much sense for that. Knowing that doesn't solve my problem, though...

Why am I here? Is there a way to get back home so I can finish something I need to do?

...If anyone knows Atsuro Kihara, Midori Komaki, or any of their friends, I would appreciate it if you'd tell me. I can't be the only one here, after all.

Well...

[He actually don't know. Atsuro wasn't expecting to see his friends in Johto again, but he did play around with the thought. Imagined all the things they could do if they're together again. But now that Keisuke's here, he's at a lost.

...So he defaults to something familiar.]

Before we can do anything, you should have gotten a starter. Which Pokemon did you start off with?

[Oh right... Pokemon. There had been two Pokeballs set out for him with his uniform, as well as some empties in the bag. Keisuke finds the two, opening them up. He hasn't taken the time to find out what types he's received himself, to be honest.]

These two, I guess...

[The Shellder doesn't move much--he seems to be watching--but the Ekans let's out a friendly hiss before slithering to investigate the two teens.]

[Atsuro blinks and give Keisuke a confused look.]

...You got two starters?

[Odd. Every Trainers and Breeders he knows started off with one Pokemon. But why did Keisuke have two?

A possible idea pops up in his mind--but is it true?]

[Keisuke shifts a little under Atsuro's gaze before focusing on the two Pokemon instead. Maybe that would make him feel a little less guilty for lying to his friend.]

I guess. I don't really know why... Maybe for the same reason I started here? A different 'mode'?

[He crouches down to allow the Ekans to bump its head against his palm.]

[There's a question Atsuro want to ask. But not here, in public where anyone could overhear them.

Who knows what happens if the NPCs overheard that question?]

[He's not convinced, yet. But he bring out Antec's Pokeball and release his Lanturn.

...Just don't ask how the fish can move on land.] This is Antec, my Lanturn and starter.

[Atsuro's discretion would be appreciated, if Keisuke were aware of it. As it is, he's grateful to be moving away from that inevitable subject. He wants to deny it a while longer.]

Antec, hmn? ...You would name something that.

[You nerd.

Plus, with all the different demons he's seen, he's not too bothered by a fish out of water.]

I gotta give him a good name.

[He laughs a bit, grinning. Antec looks up at Keisuke, waving his fin. Hiiii.]

Antec, this is my friend, Keisuke.

[Oh, so this is your friend, Atsuro? :oa

Atsuro sometimes told his Pokemon about his friends. It might be a bad thing to do with his homesickness. But it passes the time...and keep him occupied.]

[Keisuke returns the gesture with a light wave of his hand.] Nice to meet you, Antec. [He hadn't been the type to talk to animals, but after interacting with demons... Besides, Antec was Atsuro's friend on top of being his Pokemon.

The Ekans makes her way over to the Lanturn instead of trying to get the Shellder to properly greet their trainer, hissing a friendly hello.]

[Antec looks at the Ekans, greeting her back. Hi, hi, hi.

Talking to Pokemon isn't that much different from demons. They don't know how to speak their language, making Atsuro learn from the tone and body language.]

I got my team on me, while the rest are inside the PC.

[Meaning he have more than six Pokemon. It's a natural result of being in Johto for so long.]

[She wants a name. Should she bug her trainer later to name her, you think?]

Team... A team is six, right?

[It seemed like a lot, after only actively being able to use two companions in battle--not including Yama, who was a whole new thing altogether.]

How many Pokemon do you have, Atsuro?

[Do it! A name is always nicer than our Pokemon name.]

How many? [He thinks for a moment, mentally counting all of his Pokemon.] Including my current team, I got fourteen of them.

[It's a lot. Probably nothing compare to their demons in stock, but when a Pokemon team is six...it's a lot.]

[Okay! Yay yay, she will bug her trainer. Then she will get a name and be like you!]

Huh. ...I'd like to meet all of them, eventually.

You can meet the rest of my team now. The others are still inside the PC, so you have to wait.

[He reach for their Pokeballs on his belt.]

If you're sure, then sure. I'd like that.

[Keisuke absently sticks his hands into his pockets, wondering if there will be anything familiar to him on the other teen's team.]

[One by one, he call out the rest of his team. Clefairy, Porygon, Mightyena, Arcanine and a Golett. He points to each of them, saying their names in order.]

Keisuke, meet Asterisk, Fortron, Ada, Pascal and Unit 01. Everyone, this is Keisuke. He's a friend of mine from back home.

[He recognizes Asterisk's species, but that's about it. Arcanine was a little too far into the game for him to be familiar with it. Keisuke offers the group a tiny smile, nodding in greeting.]

Nice to meet you all. And thanks, for keeping an eye on Atsuro all this time.

[Almost all of them say hello back. Asterisk's hello is a bit shy, while Fortran just stare at Keisuke.

But yes, they did take care of Atsuro. Silly trainer.]

You can trust them, Keisuke. I wouldn't make it this far if I don't have their support.

[All those time when he travels alone, he have one of them out for company.]

[Do Porygon blink?]

Then I'm even more glad that they were there.

[He glances up to Atsuro before switching his eyes back down again.]

There are a few dangers here, right? ...There were in the games, unless I'm misremembering. It's not all joy and Pokemon.

Yeah, there's still dangerous things and people here. Like Team Rocket and their schemes, along with other things.

[He experienced more than his fair share of them. The water Pokemon's mania, as well as the swarm of Shedinja. It's not something he care to repeat again.]
